Garden Site Preparation

Hardwood mulch has been delivered to St. Aidan’s.  Cardboard pieces have been collected and stored in the garage.  We would like to begin by involving volunteers on Sunday after the liturgy to help remove the tape and labels that are affixed to the majority of the cardboard pieces.  Hopefully with your help we can complete that process and then return the cardboard to the garage.

Starting on Monday, July 28, we will fit 2 layers of cardboard into the shape of the garden and begin to weight it down with the wood chips.  Micki and I thought the window of a week (July 28-August 1) with work hours in the cooler mornings and later afternoons would work for both retirees and working people.  This should give us with enough time to complete the project.  The time slots would be 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM and 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM.  Either Micki or I would be working during those times to guide the process.  It may take a day or several days to complete the work.
